QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN
ZINK Imaging, Inc. was founded in October 2005 to commercialize a new digital printing technology. ZINK conducts basic research in digital imaging and manufactures coated media, with operations in Massachusetts and North Carolina. ZINK is working with established brands and hardware manufacturers to bring a range of innovative products to market.
Zink needs a professional QA Technician is responsible for development support at ZINK. We look for enthusiasm and the energy to keep up with our fast paced, “start-up” environment.
Location: Bedford, MassachusettsSalary: TBD
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Execute testing plans for components/systems to ZINK requirements. Test prototypes and products to document performance standards set by Product Development/Marketing Team. Generate engineering reports capturing compliance and engineering issues. Communicate test results to ZINK contract manufacturers. Provide guidance to ZINK contract manufacturers during the product development process to ensure compliance with ZINK requirements. Assist in resolving manufacturing design and field problems. Detect possible and/or potential product problems beyond the written requirements. Participate in product design reviews.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for experimenting with electrical, mechanical and/or consumer electronics products. Other requirements include: BS or AA in Electronics Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology. 5+ years of work experience evaluating and testing small electrical, mechanical and/or consumer electronics products. Mechanical/electrical aptitude (adjusting and/or repairing). Familiarity with standard testing procedures, FMEA methodology, Statistics, Reliability procedures. Strong communication and analytical skills. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
