Product Manager for Second Life

Overview:

Linden Lab (creators of Second Life) seeks a passionate, collaborative, and analytical Product Manager to perform market research, gather and prioritize customer needs, define product requirements, and measure product success with rigorous analysis. Qualified individuals will have a curious nature and experience in a software development environment. We are currently hiring this role in Seattle, Boston, and Mountain View, CA.


Responsibilities:
Perform industry, market, and customer analyses. Perform competitive benchmarking to identity best practices. Work closely with other functional groups in the product planning process, including community, customer support, finance, reporting & analytics, legal, and business development. Create use cases and business requirements with quantified business case / ROI justifications. Work cross-functionally to define product requirements. Collaborate with design to create interaction and visual design concepts. Define, track and improve key product metrics and develop tests against those metrics. Collaborate with engineering and program management to deliver against product roadmap. Collaborate with the community and marketing teams to develop positioning messages and communicate them to the Second Life community.
Qualifications:
3+ years of solid product management experience in all aspects of the product lifecycle. Demonstrated track record of building successful products. High degree of comfort with metrics, data analytics, and reporting tools. Strong problem solving skills. Passionate about building innovative and transformational products. Strong sense of accountability and delivering against expectations. Ability to quickly drive to decisions and consensus building. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Direct experience in virtual worlds and a keen understanding of recent trends is highly valued.
