Product Manager, Analytics and Optimization

Position Description:Product Manager – Analytics and OptimizationAre you smart, innovative and have a passion for creating great products? If so, we are looking for you!This position will work closely with product and business managers to enhance our Analytics and Testing capabilities and enable smart data driven site optimization to drive success. You will be a member of a dynamic team committed to building and growing MySpace’s position as the leader in Social Networking. RESPONSIBILITIES:• Work with product and business stakeholders to define and implement metrics and KPIs for measuring site performance as well as tests to optimize success metrics. • Effectively using Analytics and testing insights to optimize user experience.• Understand and evangelize the needs of the MySpace user base and user community. • Identify new areas for optimizing user experience on MySpace leading to higher levels of engagement and retention.• Develop clear and compelling product requirements for new initiatives as well as existing product enhancements, including business justification and operational impact.• Create preliminary design concepts and mock-ups.• Monitor progress of initiatives through the product development life cycle, identifying risks and opportunities and keeping stakeholders informed.• Lead the relevant teams to efficiently implement and rollout new products or enhancements.SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS • At least 3 to 5 years of product management experience developing Internet products.• Exceptional interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate with both technical and business experts.• Experience managing simultaneous projects and demonstrated team leadership abilities in a fast-paced environment.• Ability to solve problems and balance technical and business issues • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.• Good understanding of the product development life cycle.• Experience with Web analytics and testing tools such as Omniture is highly desired.
