Online Sales and Marketing Director

Nolo, the nation's leading publisher of legal self-help resources forconsumers and small business, is looking for an experienced OnlineSales and Marketing Director to be responsible for alldirect-to-consumer sales & marketing and for increasing traffic tonolo.com, the Lawyer Directory, and Nolo’s blogs.Key Areas of Responsibility:Marketing and Merchandising on Nolo.com• Maximize SEM and SEO for website• Work with Online Development to improve conversion rate• Develop pricing & bundling strategies• Develop promotion plans and strategiesNolo’s Online Interactive Forms• Manage launch, sales & marketing of all online interactive forms• Work with cross-functional teams to develop and test new product ideasDirect Marketing Communication• Manage all direct communication marketing including direct catalog campaigns and email campaigns.• Plan and supervise email newsletter sends• Capitalize on technology improvements• Manage annual software launchesDirect all publicity campaigns for Nolo online products and services• Design and implement an annual publicity plan• Create new angles to build awareness on an ongoing basis and capitalize on current events to drive online salesSkills and Attributes:• Deep knowledge of online marketing, with a record of online merchandising success• Excellent communication skills with a talent for writing marketing copy• Proven project management skills with the ability to workcooperatively across departments while coordinating multiple teams toachieve a shared goal• Enthusiastic with the ability to motivate others• Previous budgeting and financial forecasting experience• Strong user of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint• Able to work well under pressure and at all times demonstrate cooperative behavior with every level of the organization.• Able to prioritize multiple and sometimes competing deadlines and communicate with others as appropriate regarding progress.Qualifications:• At least 3 years of applicable professional experience• Bachelor’s or related degree• Must have ability to multi-task, excellent follow-through skills,and proven experience working well with all levels of management.
