Network and Systems Administrator

WebQuest, an industry leader in web development and consulting services, is seeking an experienced Network and Systems Administrator to manage our corporate office and development environments.  Our client list is extensive and includes both mainstream and adult companies.
WebQuest offers a casual work environment, full benefits, 401K and a competitive salary.  This is a full time, in-house position and relocation assistance may be available if necessary.   Salary range is 80K - 100K Qualifications:
Candidates will have strong network administration experience pertaining to Internet business services, as well as several years of system administration on a variety of Linux platforms. Candidates must be able to work in a structured manner within an autonomous environment, efficiently implementing technical solutions and communicating with both internal team members and external development partners. A professional work ethic, innovative problem solving abilities and strong communications skills are a must.

Overview of Position & Responsibilities:
* Administer, monitor and support various Linux systems and backups systems.
* Assist in the design and architecture of such systems, and the automation of future installations and upgrades.
* Participate in on-call responsibilities, including off-hours server administration and handling of escalations and issues as needed.
* Design, develop and/or modify various scripts (PHP/sh/Perl/Python, etc), as needed for efficient operations and automation of highly ACTIVE production environments.
* Download, configure, compile and/or install Linux software, as required, including both open source and commercial packages, and operating system patches and kernels.
* Document departmental policies, practices and procedures as needed.
* Provide desk top support (PC and MAC) as needed to other team members in the office.
* Building, maintaining and extending software package repositories.

Competencies and Core Skills Required:

* 3+ years Linux and Windows administration experience required.
* Administrative experience with:
* CentOS, Debian, and RHEL
* NFS, SMB, SVN, CVS, DNS; including djbdns, etc.
* Apache based web services; including cgi, php and other scripting support
* Great understanding of TCP networking and common protocols
