Job Description
The Research Computing Division (RCD) of RTI International has an immediate opening for a .Net Programmer to provide computing services in support of data collection, processing, management, presentation and analysis activities. Strong technical expertise is required with ASP.NET, databases, and related technologies; activities will also involve use of commercial software and RTI-developed software tools. Candidates with a broad skill set will be well-suited to working in an environment involving a diverse project base.
Responsibilities
- Designing and developing web and data integration applications utilizing current technologies.
- Working in a team environment with other developers and staff from other disciplines.
- Working on projects with minimal supervision.
- Interfacing directly with clients.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Computer Science, Mathematics, or other technical discipline.
- 5 years experience developing/maintaining multi-tier Web applications using Microsoft technologies.
- 3+ years experience with ASP.NET and IIS.
- Experience with OOA/D (Object Oriented Analysis and Design).
- Experience developing reusable software components.
- Proficiency in relational database use.
- Experience unit testing software components.
- System design experience.
- Requirements writing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
