NOC TECHNICIAN I

Multiple PART-TIME Openings (Saturday & Sunday shifts) at various locations:

(1 in San Jose, 1 in Oakland, 1 in El Segundo (California) and 1 in Chandler, Arizona)

We would like to enhance our operations team with your technical expertise in troubleshooting and resolving issues, per the below. Your skills will contribute to our continuing success.   Responsibilities:

• This position may require shift work and local travel.• Monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving Tier 1 and 2 Local Area Network problems.• Fielding and documenting network related trouble notifications (calls, alerts, official notifications)• Escalating problems in accordance with company policy.• Analyzing and reporting network performance data.• Modifying configurations of network devices.• Notifying customers and IT management of applicable problems.• Working with Help Desk personnel and second and third level network support to resolve more in-depth problems.• Installing network media (copper, fiber, coax)



Required Skills:

• TCP/IP knowledge and basic knowledge of routing and troubleshooting.• Experience with servers, routers, switches, hubs, and networking equipment.• Experience with SONET, ATM, Ethernet.• Experience with trouble-ticketing software.• Understanding of Network Performance Management techniques and software.• Previous experience working in a Network Operations Center.• Experience with Windows 2000 and UNIX.• Familiarity with network technology.• Must have excellent reliability; attendance is considered an essential function of this position• Should have good communications skills (verbal & written)• Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.



Rate:  $15-$17/hour
