MySQL DBA

We are partnering with a successful and fast-growing ecommerce company that is looking for an experienced Database Administrator. The person filling this position will be responsible for design, implementation, and maintenance of MySQL databases in a high transaction volume ecommerce production datacenter. Responsibilities: Design, implement and support production MySQL databases. Manage disaster recovery policies and processes for MySQL databases. Provide 24/7 support for production databases. Work with application developers to identify and fix database/SQL bottlenecks and failures in production code. Qualifications: BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline 4+ years experience as a database administrator. Experience with production UNIX ecommerce environment. Expert level knowledge of SQL/MySQL. Experience with UNIX shell and/or Perl scripting. Especially for text manipulation and UNIX text filters. Experience with C/C++ or PHP a plus.
