Junior Web Developer

Barneys New York, the world’s leading luxury retailer, is committed to providing the best of everything: merchandise, customer service, and innovative people with creative ideas. We are currently seeking a Junior Web Developer in our corporate office.

 

Responsibilities:

· Design, optimize, and extend new and existing web components for shopping, marketing, and editorial content using Eclipse-based development environment

· Assist in front-end website administration

· Test and implement platform upgrades

· Manage internal and external interfaces to support the web business

· Oversee day to day data updates and feeds, including inventory, catalog feeds, product and Google marketing feeds, RSS, and site integrations

· Partner with the technology team to interface the storefront website with back-end Barneys operations and technology

· Coordinate with business partners to determine project specifications

 

Qualifications: BA/BS degreeTwo years of experience with internet applicationsStrong demonstrated experience with internet/web and emerging technologies including web services, XML, XHTML, JavaScript, SQL, Unix, Perl Experience with Demandware or related e-commerce platform and content management system a plus
