Internet Marketing Consultant - California
Under the direction of the Vice President Sales-Client Development: this position will be responsible for retaining the highest revenue accounts in the Small Law (1-50 attorney) segment throughout the West Coast including California, Texas, and Washington. Applicants must reside in this geography or be willing to travel 75% into the geography.
Accountabilities include, but not limited to:
- Coordinating teaming with Client Development Specialists and Territory Managers to improve retention and identify opportunities for growth
- Coordinating new and renewal sales calls with Client Development Specialists and Territory Managers involving large focus sales accounts/opportunities as available, necessary and required
- Identifying new accounts for inclusion in the program pending approval by sales leadership
- Continuous monitoring, researching and evaluation of firm's current client development program
- Monthly updating of firms on client development program performance, Internet trends, areas of particular interest (Frequency of updates will depend on risk associated with each individual account, sales consultant judgment and relationship with each individual firm)
- Recommending and implementing necessary changes to firm marketing programs upon firm approval- Coordinating work with cross functional areas to insure implementation of recommendations for improved client development program performance receive priority
- Schedule quarterly site visits with firms in general and as required to develop, build and manage ongoing relationships- Develop and implement budget, prepare business plan and regular management reports related to the Small Law Sales Consulting program (Provide weekly reports on program performance to sales leadership)
- Coordinating piloting of new products to accounts
- Assessing competitive product positioning identifying opportunities for improved product performance and new product ideas for presentation to sales/business leadership
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor of Science Degree. MBA or JD a plus or equivalent experience
2. Minimum five years sales experience required with two years legal sales experience preferred.
3. A hunger for success and passion for cultivating client relationships.
4. Highly developed speaking and presentation skills. Documented examples must be provided and include proven success in selling at the chairman, CIO, CFO, CMO, Managing Partner level.
5. Advanced consultative sales experience
6. Advanced computer literacy including MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Siebel and/or other CRM application and Internet applications and usage
7. Overnight travel is required.
8. Ability to carry laptop and collateral materials of approximately 15 lbs
