Pleasant Holidays is a leading travel company serving Hawaii, Mexico, the Caribbean, Costa Rica, the South Pacific, Asia, Mainland USA and Europe and is located in Westlake Village, California.  We have an exciting opportunity for a creative Internet Content Specialist who will conceptualize and develop content for all of our travel destinations on the World Wide Web.

 

The qualified candidate will be responsible for designing, writing and updating web content and pages for the company’s web sites; delivering content to the web server and formatting images to support Pleasant Holidays’ online marketing and product distribution efforts; creation and distribution of weekly advertised specials, development and distribution of e-newsletters, maintaining online marketing schedules and workflow for content contributors within the company, and interfacing with external vendors outside the company. 

 

Qualified candidates will need a working knowledge of Macromedia and Adobe graphic design software, HTML, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft programs.  Familiarity with networking, Internet security protocols (e.g. SSL) and firewalls.  Knowledge of content management software, XML, JAVA and FTP is a plus.  Detailed understanding of the World Wide Web and ability to conceptualize, develop content and carry out web-based marketing and product distribution solutions in a fast-paced, results-oriented corporate environment. Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in computer science, digital media or related discipline and a minimum of two years experience in developing and maintaining content on the World Wide Web.  Travel industry and destination experience a plus.
