Position Summary: The technical producer works closely with designers and engineers to implement cross-browser compatible code. A thorough understanding of Web layout techniques and drawbacks is necessary in order to provide advice on alternative coding methods. Required SkillsThe technical producer will be proficient in XHTML, JavaScript, DHTML/DOM and CSS and will be able to accurately translate a design into a finished Web page. Some exposure to AJAX, Photoshop/ImageReady, Flash ActionScript, Object Oriented concepts or server-side programming is a plus (preferably JSP/Java). Essential Responsibilities * Codes clear, concise XHTML and CSS according to W3C standards. * Codes/modifies/implements intermediate to complex JavaScript. * Finds acceptable solutions and/or compromises for cross-browser and cross-platform code interpretation inconsistencies. * Responds to questions regarding download time, code efficiencies, integration of client-side technologies, etc. * Works with the team and the customer to design a usable, efficient, flexible and attractive Web site. * The technical producer can also expect to be involved in client meetings throughout the duration of a project -- either in person or via conference call. Good communication skills are necessary.Required ExperienceA college degree in a related field and at least 3 years experience in the industry is preferred.
