IT jobs: PHP Developer

At this time we are only looking at candidates that are LOCAL TO CHICAGO and we are NOT looking to work with any third party vendors for the fulfillment of this role.
Our client is looking to bring a board a mid-level PHP Developer on a 3 month contract to hire basis. We are currently looking at candidates with 2 to 4 years of overall professional experience.

They are looking for this developer to join their business engineering group to assist with the development of numerous applications as it relates to their network issues detection group. About 90 % of this business will be associated with the network detection group which touches every major division within this organization.

This development will consist of a lot of data driven development and prototyping as this group is trying to identify and proactively create applications that will help in resolving network issues that have been identified through the collection and dissection of data. With these applications being prototyped based it will give this developer the opportunity to work on multiple applications that are developed at a fast pace from scratch in a short period of time. These applications are very visible to management and so the successful development of a prototype could turn into large recognition within the organization.

This project will give developers the opportunity to take their application development from beginning to end. There are not a lot of formalized processes that are followed so when a developer is given a project it is expected that he or she has the ability to meet with the business to define the requirements and then create the design and developer the application on their own. So it is important that the developer that is brought a aboard to this team has a vested interest in the business and impact that their application could potentially have on the organization.
