HR Manager

Dada Entertainment, a market leader in the direct-to-consumer entertainment space is seeking a Human Resources Manager to manage all aspects of its HR activities.  Dada Entertainment, a joint venture owned 50% by SONY BMG MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT and 50% by Dada USA, offers the next generation web and mobile personalization and entertainment services, combining a wide variety of music content from full length audio and video tracks to ringtones, with a rich Web 2.0 and social networking experience.

 

Job Summary

The HR Manager will be primarily responsible for the overall provision of Human Resources services, policies and programs for the entire organization including, leading practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

w        Recruiting for all open positions (ranging from non-exempt to director level), including negotiating salary packages with hiring managers, finance and candidates

w        Act as point of contact for all HR related matters (benefits, general employment issues, policy questions, etc.)

w        Oversee and administer all typical HR Processes, including hiring and separations, raise and bonus process, performance management, promotion discussions, etc.

w        Work closely with senior management on overall organization design and structure discussions and decisions

w        Work closely with senior management  in all HR-related matters for respective groups

w        Manage relationship with third party payroll & benefits provider; coordinate all benefits administration activities

w        Organization /  policy development and documentation, including employee handbooks

w        Develop and administer employee orientation, development and training programs and other employee services (e.g., perks, etc.)

w        Ensure compliance with corporate policy and relevant employment law; work directly with in-house and external lawyers as necessary

w        Oversee employee safety, welfare, wellness and health

w        Counseling management and staff in resolving employee relations issues

w        Assist with managing physical organizational and space planning

 

Education / Experience Requirements

w        Bachelors degree and 5-7 years of human resource generalist experience 

w        At least 1 year of experience working in a creative industry (i.e., entertainment, music, etc.)

w        Demonstrated knowledge of recruiting and hiring practices

w        Knowledge of federal and state employment laws

w        Some employee relations experience preferred or demonstrated aptitude in this area 

w        Solid general business as well as solid HR acumen, thereby assuring credibility with other leadership team members

w        An interpersonal style that ensures open and honest communication across all levels of the organization

w        A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment; ability to be flexible in changing working conditions and demands

w        Solid experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint
