Job Responsibilities: Executing Smiley’s daily, weekly and monthly reporting activities to internal management, bankers and shareholders: Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements. Delivering monthly bank reporting Maintains general ledger and all subsidiary ledgers Reconciles the subsidiary ledgers (including bank statements) Creates journal entries as required to close the books. Maintaining the accounting policies and procedures Delivering accounting services: Billing Collections Disbursements Payroll Executing Smiley’s treasury management functions with the Company’s banker. Maintaining Smiley’s forecast on a monthly basis.  Executing the Smiley’s annual planning / budgeting process. Developing and implementing financial modeling and analytical tools to create efficiencies within the organization.  Assist in the development of automated information of financial information and performance metrics. Working with management team to identify performance trends in comparison to budgets and forecasts and work with business leaders to develop action plans to exploit the opportunities identified. Maintaining Smiley’s driver-based model of financial performance. Working on special projects and researching financial questions as needed, including product and pricing analysis.

Skill-Based Competencies: Extensive knowledge relating to the performance of the accounting processes. Knowledge related to the billing, accounts receivable, inventory and payroll processes. Ability to perform work accurately and perform self-checks. Ability to maintain a good working relationship with fellow co-workers Judgement in determining the accuracy of financial records. Effective team-building skills.  Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively deal with confidential information. Goal-oriented, demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic environment and complete assignments in a timely manner. Ability to use good judgment in recognizing scope of authority.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; CPA preferred. Minimum of 5 years of accounting/finance experience. General Ledger responsibility. Prior management experience preferred. Financial modeling experience.
