We are currently seeking an Editor who is responsible for managing the content and quality of copy across all services and functions of K2 Network and GamersFirst.com.  This individual effectively utilizes knowledge of our game titles and community to produce feature articles, website copy, and marketing promotions of relevance and quality, with the goal of improving audience enjoyment and satisfaction.

 

Responsibilities:

 Represents GamersFirst.com to the gaming communityWrites and edits website content, including feature articles,blogs, and banner copyEdits in-game text such as dialogue and item descriptionsAssists game and marketing teams with copy and editorial needsManages and defines the corporate editorial style guideManages content production

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 2 – 3 years of editing and writing experience for a respected website, magazine, ad agency, video game related businessExceptional writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail Proficiency with AP Style writingAbility to develop editorial ideas and concepts from the ground upExperience managing online communications media such as blogs, forums, and content-heavy websitesPrevious experience working in the video game industryAvid video game player with a broad understanding of video gaming and gaming cultureKnowledge of gamer market, trends, and audienceEffective problem solving and analytical skillsStrong project management and organizational skillsProven ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently while hitting tight deadlinesDesire to work in a creative environment Strong interpersonal and collaboration skillsPossesses a passion and drive to achieve our corporate missionDemonstrated initiative and positive attitude in a fast paced environmentStrong computer skills, with proficiency in MS OfficeEducation: Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Journalism or Creative Writing

Major Pluses:
