E-Commerce company local to Gaithersburg is seeking a Lead Web Developer and a Sr Web Developer to join their team on a full time basis. Both of these positions are full time and require in-depth knowledge of E-Commerce Web development technologies. The Lead Developer has a salary of $90-110KThe Sr Web Developer has a salary of $80-100K If you are interested please send a MS Word Copy of your resume to miketrentadue@mergisgroup.com Responsibilities include: You and your team will be maintaining our existing platform while at the same time working on development of our next generation technology. Architecture and Development of the new platform. Find creative solutions when needed. Involved in all end-to-end aspects of the business. Working hand in hand with a Project Manager to manage the teamâ€™s projects and a Business Analyst to create functional and technical specifications. Mentoring less seasoned developers in how to build â€œbest of breedâ€ Web applications. Qualifications/Experience: At least 7 years web software and UI development experience At least 2 years as technical team lead Background in object-oriented design and programming Familiar with standard software development methodologies/processes Expertise with Classic ASP, ASP.NET 1.1 and 2.0 Expertise with C# and/or VB.NET Proficient with MySQL, IIS, Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005 Proficient with XHTML/XML/HTML/DHTML, CSS, XSL, AJAX, Javascript and Web Standards Experience with Web Services (REST/SOAP/XML-RPC) Experience building e-commerce sites Experience with open source and commercial shopping cart systems Experience with SCM systems, such as Subversion, Perforce, CVS, etc. Experience with Configuration Management (Builds, Web Deployment, Defect Tracking) Experience with Java, Ruby on Rails, etc. a plus Experience with PHP and Linux/UNIX a plus Built on more than 30 years of expertise, The Mergis Group is a specialty recruiting firm committed to helping professionals make the best career choices.
