The Business Development Manager will be responsible for defining our partner strategy, researching opportunities, drafting proposals, developing programs and negotiating complex deals to improve our strategic position in the marketing place and acquire new Snapfish customers. This position will report to the Head of Strategic Partnerships. Specific Responsibilities: Develop and implement the strategic direction of business development for Snapfish Identifying and researching key target markets and potential partners Prospecting leads Negotiating deals to generate maximum value, within budgeted risk parameters Reviewing and editing contracts and insertion orders Working with partnership account managers to ensure successful program implementation Canceling and/or renegotiating ineffective programsRequirements:10+ years experience in a partner facing role — in business development or account management 3-5 years in an online, B2C environment Track record of meeting/exceeding aggressive volume goals, within budget constraints Experience negotiation large complex deals that involve changing market conditions, new technologies, and coordination with other business units. Strong understanding of online and offline marketing vehicles and technologies, such as online advertising, co-registration, pixel-tracking, print, retail merchandising, etc. BA/BS degree Skills and characteristics: Excellent analytical skills Strong negotiation and sales skills Fluency with both Excel and PowerPoint Familiarity with industry-standard research tools Self-starter, aggressive, results-driven orientation Team player Excellent communicator, both orally and in writing © 2007 Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.
