Job DescriptionThis person is responsible for all aspects of merchant sales for the company, including selling directly to merchants, establishing channel/other partnerships, and building the sales organization. The person will initially be a senior-level individual contributor, but depending on the candidate, there is an opportunity for the person to take on larger managerial roles within the sales organization. The position will initially report to the CEO.

 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following: Build the sales organization (both direct and indirect sales force), processes, and tools. Develop and implement annual sales plans and go-to-market strategies. Develop strong relationships with merchants. Sell directly to online and offline merchants; travel as needed. Establish channel partnerships. Assist with other strategic partnerships and provide mobile carrier support as needed.

 

Requirements and Qualifications. 10+ years experience working in, building, and running successful sales organizations with a strong track-record of excellence. Extensive contacts to digital content merchants (e.g. online games, social networks, virtual worlds, web 2.0, music, etc.) strongly preferred. Prior experience, knowledge, and contacts in the payment industry is a big plus. Must possess strong customer focus and be service-oriented. Must possess strong leadership, commitment, and “startup work ethic;� must always be willing to go beyond the call of duty. Must be an unselfish team-player with excellent people-skills who enjoys building bridges between people and groups, both within and outside of the company. Must be highly proactive and energetic with a positive attitude. Must be flexible and assist in any & all matters that arise, even if they are not related to merchant sales.
