Director of Corporate Strategy

We are seeking a talented, driven Director-level person who strives for excellence and has a history of success.  This person must desire a fast-paced environment (Shutterfly grew 50% last year) and thrive in a company and industry undergoing significant growth.  This position offers the unique opportunity to make an immediate and substantial impact to the organization. Candidates that have demonstrated impact in both strategy consulting and within Corporate Development or Marketing organizations are strongly preferred.  The position reports directly to the SVP of Business & Corporate Development. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

* Investigate, research and recommend new business opportunities & markets

 

* Identify, evaluate and lead on potential M&A opportunities – including due diligence and integration

 

* Lead & Program manage strategic opportunities originating within the Corporate Development group across the rest of the company

 

* Identify and develop strategic business development opportunities

 

* Develop frameworks that support the prioritization of corporate strategic initiatives

 

 

Requirements:

 

* Minimum of 6-8 years work experience with at least 2-3 years experience in strategy consulting with a top consulting firm or within an internal strategy consulting group.

 

* Experience negotiating identifying and negotiating strategic partnership and business development opportunities.

 

* Exceptional strategic, analytical and problem solving and financial skills required.  Ability to generate insights from various information sources and turn these insights into strategies and executable plans.

 

* Demonstrated leadership and communication skills to build effective partnerships across the organization

 

* MBA from top-tier school is strongly preferred

 

* Driven, self-starter with a passion for excellence and winning
