Director of Application and Web Development
Join a stable, dynamic and growing company as the Director of Application and Web Development. Manage a team of both in-office and offshore J2EE developers. Explore new technologies and keep the company ahead of the curve. Manage and drive new initiatives, like analyzing a technology to upgrade. Move the existing hardware stack to a geographically distributed set of data centers. Candidate needs to be a seasoned architect with strong Java skills to run the network and development team.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead all development team members in the design and development of new functionality for a large website.
· Oversee the daily operations surrounding the company’s website including releases and monitoring.
· Explore new technologies
· Recommend new technology initiates based upon business opportunities.
Required Skills
10+ Years IT Experience
3 – 5+ Years Experience Managing, Directing and Leading On and Off Shore J2EE Development Teams
5 – 7+ Years Experience Hands-on J2EE Design, Architecture, Development in a Large, Complex Web and C/S Environment, Application Server Management, Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL
3 – 5+ Years Experience eCommerce or Other Large Website Development
BS/BA Degree
