Job Summary:Director, Tax will report to the CFO and will work closely with other members of the tax, finance, and business (both domestic and international) to execute the international tax planning and compliance functions. This includes tax planning for the US taxation of international transactions. This is a growth opportunity position since the company is actively expanding its international operations. Job Duties: · Supervision and management of International and Domestic Tax department staff· Responsible for tax management, coordination, planning and compliance for all international subsidiaries and operations in Canada, Europe and Asia/Pacific. This includes maintaining an international tax compliance calendar, determination filing requirements by jurisdiction, preparing 5471s, 8832s, 1118s, and subpart F/Section 956 calculations, preparing earnings for foreign operations and overview of the foreign tax filings including VAT and GST. · Oversight, review, ongoing maintenance, and follow-up of the various transactional components in the international business/tax structure. This includes intercompany transactional activity, revenue/expense apportionment, journal entry follow-up and commissionaire arrangement follow-up, as well as ensuring that transactions are calculated and recorded properly and timely. · Assist in the development and maintenance of the policies and procedures needed for the company to comply with requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley act of 2002 relative to international and tax structures. · Advise on establishment/liquidation of subsidiaries and structuring and integration of M&A candidates on an as needed basis. Job Requirements and Experience: · 10+ years of corporate income tax experience in private industry or in a public accounting firm with a focus on international tax · Ability to understand and oversee complex international corporate structure and related intercompany transactions. · Experience and ability to handle provisions with a sound understanding of GAAP related to tax· Certified Public Accountant (CPA)· Education equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance · Outstanding written and verbal communications skills· Strong research, organizational and analytical skills · Team player with a commitment to high quality, detailed work and proven ability to meeting deadlines · Ability to work independently and exercise sound business judgment· Public accounting experience For immediate consideration send resume, with "Director, Tax (Int'l)" in subject, to Sharon.Morris@j2global.com or APPLY HERE
