Data Integration Specialist

Fulltime Data Integration Specialist position open immediately for UniteU Technologies. UniteU is a recognized leader in on-demand e-commerce solutions for specialty retailers that are powerful yet affordable.



The Data Integration Specialist is a cross between a DBA and a System Engineer.  You need to understand the UniteU eCommerce data model and interchange methods to provide consulting, design, implementation and test support for integration projects to third-party systems, ranging from Retail Management/POS, Order fulfillment, shipping, web marketing and search applications.  You need to create “data mapsâ€�, write SQL queries, setup data transforms and scheduled tasks.  In addition, this position requires that you become the subject matter expert on chosen 3rd party services requiring integration for applications such as product auto suggestions, content delivery services, search and site navigation, checkout processes and marketing services. The Data Integration Specialist is responsible to work with a UniteU Project Manager, and at times directly with the client to understand requirements and document, implement, test and maintain solutions.

While candidates from any US location may be considered, preference will be placed on candidates within 60 miles of Pittsford, NY (near Rochester). 

Qualifications/Skills Required:

•Bachelor’s Degree

•Minimum 2-5 years experience in related field

•Strong organizational and communication skills (both written and oral)

•Proficient in Database Concepts and Modeling

•Expertise in MS Access and SQL Server Applications

•Familiarity with HTML, XML, Active Web Database Programming, eg. PHP, .asp, VBscript

•Expertise with Microsoft Office applications

•Aptitude for juggling multiple, simultaneous projects while adhering to strict deadlines

•High attention to quality, accuracy and detail

•Ability to work both independently and collectively in a fast-paced environment

•Demonstrable flexibility and creativity in a team atmosphere

•Familiarity with Shopping Engines, Affiliate Programs and Web Marketing a plus

•Familiarity with Retail Management Systems a plus

•Build Automated/Scheduled Database Load and Data Transfer Routines

•Build and Manage Automated Data Extraction, Transformation, and Load Routines

•Monitoring and troubleshooting related to automated tasks

•System Integration between ecommerce web site and other systems

•Knowledge Engineering for search and refine application

•Training/Peer Mentoring

•Testing to ensure consistent translation of design throughout completion of projects

•Keeping up with industry standards and changes in technology

•Participation in the completion of special projects as needed
