SUMMARY
The data integration engineer will be responsible for the development, implementation and ongoing management of the governance processes needed to establish an Enterprise Data Integration Architecture function. The data integration engineer will perform data analysis, design, development, implementation, integration and extension within the enterprise for both internal and external data repositories. The successful candidate can demonstrate hands-on participation in projects retrieving, transforming and deploying data in an enterprise-wide OLTP and Data Warehousing environment. Emphasis will be placed on geographical data consistency, data warehousing, data integration, ETL, EII and master data management methodologies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
 Develop data integration strategies and roadmaps for enterprise, including hands on development of code for execution of strategies and roadmaps.
 Design, develop, test and maintain data integration tools, routines, procedures and/or code for OLTP, OLAP, ODS and Data Warehouse.
 Expertise in understanding enterprise environment (technical and business) and requirements providing input to project managers, business partners and system teams.
 Translate business requirements into documented data, application, interface specifications and infrastructure requirements.
 Investigate, identify and resolve data issues within enterprise environment.
 Identify, document and communicate cutting edge data storage, search and movement techniques/methodologies, i.e. HBase/HaDoop, DHT or GFS.
 Define and implement data quality strategies, methods and programs.
 Define and implement master data management strategies and roadmaps.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
 5-7+ years of IT experience in development, administration and/or architecture.
 3-5+ recent years of experience in data integration/architecture, enterprise information integration and/or ETL.
 Hands on experience with developing, implementing and maintenance of various complex ETL tools, applications and/or processes. Experience should include designing parallel ETL processes including complex scheduling mechanisms.
 Extensive experience with the gathering of data integration/ETL requirements via working with business and technical teams. Resulting in well defined ETL process flows, estimation of work efforts and schedules for completion as input to the project manager.
 Extensive experience with data warehousing, data marts, OLAP and OLTP data integration and migration on a LAMP environment.
 Experience with analysis, design, implementation and deployment of a metadata architecture.
 Extensive experience with high volume transactional system with multi-terabyte data warehouse and analytical environments.
 Integration experience with multiple data sources such as Hierarchical, network and relational DBMS, flat files, digital, images, audio and etc*
 Experience writing ETL/EII applications, procedures and/or code using C/C++, SQL, Stored Procs, PHP, PERL and/or Java.
 Experience with diverse integration mechanisms such as EAI, EII, Web Services and SOA is a plus.
 Experience in deployment architectures including security models, protocols and/or server clustering is a plus.
 Experience with open source tools such as Clover (ETL), Enhrdra - Octopus, KETL, Pentaho - Kettle and Talend Open Studio a definite plus.
 Hands on experience with Semantic Web analysis, design, implementation and deployment is a definite plus.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or other related discipline with 5-7 years experience, in similar industry. Master of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or other related discipline with 2-3 year experience in similar industry.
