Position Overview:
This position is primarily responsible for the segmentation and data extraction setup and execution of our email and direct mail marketing campaigns for the Gourmet Foods and Red Envelope brands of Provide-Commerce. Additionally the employee will be responsible for extracting and analyzing campaign performance data for all brands. Employee will interact frequently with the Director, Retention Marketing Database & Analytics and channel managers in Red Envelope and Gourmet Foods Business Units to discuss email and direct mail selections and segmentation processes. The employee will also interact with the Director, Retention Marketing Database & Analytics to automate programs, extract data for analysis and support the retention business with other ad-hoc analysis. Additionally the employee will also interact with channel managers on occasion to provide insight into retention campaign performance through analysis and data extraction.
Responsibilities:
QC and execute email and direct mail segmentation processes for the Red Envelope and Gourmet Foods brands.
· Work with channel managers to alter current segmentation processes and develop new segmentation strategies and processes.
· Analyze performance of current marketing strategies and provide insight into the key drivers by manipulating data extracted from our data warehouse.
· Develop standard reporting package on the size and health of the marketing database and provide insight into key metrics impacting overall campaign size.
· Support the retention marketing team by writing SAS code for segmentation, automation and analysis as needed.
· Work with IT and channel managers to automate segmentation and selection processes where possible.
· The employee will have a direct impact on retention channel performance as a result of the execution of the email and direct mail campaigns.
· The employee will be expected to QC the marketing strategies defined by the channel managers, identify issues in the segmentation process and develop solutions to address the issues.
· Additionally the employee will provide feedback and suggestions to the channel managers on how to improve the marketing segmentation and strategy.
· The employee may also be expected to impact marketing and product strategy by making recommendations to the channel managers based on the results of analysis.Any other duties assigned.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s or Master in quantitative discipline (MIS, economics, business, science, engineering)
· Demonstrated experience with SAS or SQL in a large database environment
· Experience in consumer analysis – financial services, retail or e-commerce
· Knowledge of marketing segmentation processes a plus
