Commercial Sales Manager
Summary:
Position is responsible for the implementation and tactical execution of the company’s approved regional sales strategies. Position manages all aspects of field sales including territory representatives, residential door-to-door sales strategies, commercial and MDU account management, and execution of third party sales channels including retail outlets, real estate agents and leasing agents.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Develops and implements competitive sales strategies to meet sales objectives including customer penetration and revenue-per-customer goals.
· Manages activities including supervision of residential sales reps., commercial sales reps. And MDU sales reps., including strategy, training, tracking, and payroll procedures.
· Monitors the performance of the sales team as it relates to the region’s sales and revenue goals. Assists in providing sales direction to the sales team as necessary.
· Provides primary interface with corporate sales, Establishes and maintains tracking and reporting mechanisms to effectively manage the operations of the sales department.
· Creates and implements regional incentive programs necessary to meet company objectives.
· Represents company in a professional manner at public events.
· Manages third party sales companies.
· Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
Related Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or five to seven years of related sales management experience in the communications industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Commercial experience required.
Language Ability:
Ability to present thoughts, ideas and data verbally and in written form in clear, concise manner. Ability to communicate persuasively and effectively with customers.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must possess the ability to create a sales forecast and budget.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions, and contracts furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
Working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS Powerpoint, preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises Sales Representatives, and support staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; leading, motivating, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Also responsible for supervision of outside contractors as required.
