Automation Engineer
As the largest domain registrar in the world and largest hosting provider in North America, Go Daddy is seeking a Senior Server Automation Engineer. The position of Senior Server Automation Engineer will be responsible for maintaining a reliable, robust server automation environment. What does the job entail? · Analysis, design and development of both GUI and script based automation for an enterprise class configuration and server management application· Creation of automation routines using scripting technologies such as WMI, WSH, ADSI, VBS, C#, Perl, Java and PowerShell for the following: o Server provisioningo OS Customization and configurationo Deploy and maintain Windows IIS 5.0 / 6.0o SSL certificate installation, configuration and backupso Configuration managemento Patch management and host hardening · Work with development and testing staff to identify requirements and implement solutions Are you a good fit? · Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills· Possess a structured, methodical approach to systems administration· Proven technical leader· Maintain a positive attitude while working in a dynamic, fast paced environment· Independent worker· Adaptable to change· Expert level system administration skills and software development experience with a strong understanding of cross platform administration and large scale, distributed systems environments What do you need to do this job? · Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience· Up-to-date Windows MCSE certification preferred· In-depth knowledge of Active Director· Expert level experience with Windows scripting technologies such as WMI, WSH, ADSI, VBS and PowerShell· Proven ability to be able to provision servers in a large scale environment (thousands of servers)· Knowledge of Configuration Management Best Practices· Minimum four (4) years working as a Windows Engineer· Excellent written and verbal communication skills What skills are an added ‘Plus’?· Knowledge of Opsware and/or other Server Automation Technology · Knowledge of C#, Java and other programming languages · Knowledge of Networking, Routing and Switching Technologies · Server Virtualization Technologies · SAN and NAS technologies (iSCSI, FCP, CIFS, NFS, etc) Go Daddy has got you covered.We offer a competitive salary + bonus, 100% employer-paid medical and dental coverage, three weeks of paid vacation plus two paid personal days available in your first year of employment, an exceptional 401(k) package, and a generous educational assistance program, among numerous other benefits.
