Advertising Sales team members work hard to identify our clients' business challenges, to collaboratively shape solutions that drive their strategic initiatives, and to keep them educated and informed in the ways that current and future Google products can enhance their online and/or offline presence.The role: Advertising Technology SpecialistThe Advertising Technology Specialist serves as the central resource for YouTubes ad specs and policies. You fulfill a pre and post sales support role within YouTube Ad Operations. You are a technical expert and advisor in all phases of the ad sales life cycle process, from display advertising creative consulting, technical sales support, and technical implementation and troubleshooting to QA and project-based site and ad development. You also manage operational relationships with third party vendors, including ongoing testing of new technologies. The Advertising Technology Specialist works with cross-functional teams including operations, engineering and product managers. You must understand the needs and language of each group and serve as a liaison between them. Your ability to discuss technical matters with non-technical audiences is vital. You must have a clear picture of both the overall industry as well as the detailed processes.Responsibilities: Support internal ad operations team with all technical aspects related to campaigns. Maintain excellent communication with product development and ad operations teams. QA and troubleshoot advertising creative files, 3rd party tags and other site products. Interface with 3rd party ad serving as brand lift vendors (Dynamic Logic, Insight Express, etc.). Provide ongoing testing & certification of new ad vendors & products using established internal testing processes.Qualifications: BA/BS degree preferred with a strong academic record. At least three years experience working in online ad operations. Experience with ad servers (DFP preferred) and 3rd-party creative tags (Dart, Atlas, etc). Managing operational relationships with 3rd-party vendors, including testing of new technologies and systems and process advisement. Expert knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and Flash.
