Advertising Sales Director
About Us:

Overview:
The Sales Director is responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities, from lead generation through close, in the assigned territory. This person is also responsible for working with sales and support teams to achieve customer satisfaction, revenue generation and long-term account goals; taking the lead in educating, building and growing relationships with key and prospective clients to demonstrate the value of this new financial search tool.
Qualifications:
Create and expand business opportunities with key advertisers and agencies.Work collaboratively with agency media buyers, key decision-makers to develop innovative opportunities.Develop new business prospects; initiate and coordinate development of action plans to penetrate new markets.Develop a business plan and sales strategy in conjunction with the VP of Sales that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.Develop database of qualified leads through referrals, face-to-face meetings, cold calls and networking.Create effective proposal presentations and RFP responses.Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations and follow-up activities.Control expenses to meet budgetary guidelines.
Requirements:
5 years online or comparable advertising sales experience. Will consider right candidate with other media experience.Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the business.Established relationships in advertising/client community.Familiarity of advertising servicing, reporting and analytical tools.Track record of successfully meeting and exceeding sales quotas.Ability to think quickly and effectively manage a sales cycle from start to finish.Ability to close deals with a passion and sense of urgency.Proven effective negotiating skills.Superior communication and presentation skills.Ability to work collaboratively with the team.Creative individual with strong results-driven business savvy.Energetic self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit who is goal-oriented and a problem solver.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, start-up environment.Diligent and dependable work ethic.
