Account Representative, Advertiser Development

Job Summary:
The focus of the Advertiser Account Representative is to drive revenue in the Commission Junction network by providing proactive guidance, recommendations and strategies to high-potential clients, resulting in increased performance. The Performance Consultant will also up sell to existing clients and demonstrate initiative by taking calculated risks to drive financial return from each account.



Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Assist in identifying high-potential client accounts, selected by their current and/or potential value to CJ, and the strength of their program resources
- Identify and act on opportunities to broker relationships to improve program performance and account profitability
- Determine and apply pricing strategies for accounts, within established guidelines, to optimize client satisfaction and CJ profitability
- Analyze metrics of designated accounts to identify opportunities for improving program performance and profitability and provide recommendations to clients on appropriate strategies, including but not limited to program descriptions, commission structure, and/or overall offering
- Perform analysis of selected accounts that are deemed ‘in our best interest' to work on. Perform work on selected accounts, including creation and optimization of affiliations, and provide program specific additional feedback and recommendations
- Identify opportunities and up sell clients on CJ services to increase program and account profitability and provide guidance to service delivery organization on specific service needs, expectations, and eligibility of clients
- Assist in content creation and ideas for targeted advice campaigns - strategies to be pushed out to larger groups of targeted clients

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Requires a working knowledge of Internet business models
- Requires a working knowledge of account management concepts, practices, and procedures
- Requires the ability to manage multiple P&L sheets




Required Education and Experience:
- Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field from an accredited college or university (four years of professional business experience may be substituted for this requirement)
- Requires 3-5 years of business experience in addition to the above, at least 3 years of which must have been in an account management or relationship management role
- Requires at least 3 years experience in on-line marketing; this experience may be concurrent with above experience
