Workers Comp Adjustor (Licensed in Texas)

Job Purpose:

Controls workers' compensation costs by managing medical cases.

Duties:

* Investigates accidents by interviewing victim and witnesses; evaluating incident and medical reports.

* Prevents and reduces accidents by studying accident reports; establishing causes of accidents; recognizing trends in types of accidents; coaching supervisors and employees; publishing accident-prevention information.

* Pays medical bills by verifying required documents.

* Pays employees by verifying and processing claims and benefits.

* Secures reimbursement by submitting subrogation claims and criminal cases.

* Maintains records by updating records management system.

* Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.

* Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and conventions; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; reviewing publications.

* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

* Complete and file state required documentation
