Worker's Comp Ajuster

Job Purpose:Controls workers' compensation costs by managing medical cases.Duties:* Investigates accidents by interviewing victim and witnesses; evaluating incident and medical reports.* Prevents and reduces accidents by studying accident reports; establishing causes of accidents; recognizing trends in types of accidents; coaching supervisors and employees; publishing accident-prevention information.* Secures reimbursement by submitting subrogation claims and criminal cases.* Maintains records by updating records management system.* Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.* Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and conventions; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; reviewing publications.* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Skills/Qualifications:Worker Compensation, Reporting Skills, Analyzing Information, Benefits Administration, Resolving Conflict, Employment Law, Objectivity, Confidentiality, Creating a Safe, Effective Environment, People Skills, Listening Since 1946, Spherion has been helping talented individuals find rewarding job opportunities that drive excellence in their career.
