Web Development Director
SCF Arizona offers an exciting opportunity for a Web Development Director to initiate and oversee the coordination of Web based products throughout their lifecycle from strategic definition, to end-of-life planning. This individual will develop the product strategy for online services and translate customer/clients needs into new features and services, including writing and implementing product specifications.As Web Development Director qualified candidates will: Coordinate with organization leadership in setting the Web development strategy; build software solutions that provide critical business information to internal and external customers through package software and web based solutions. Lead design and development of SCF Arizona’s E-Commerce and intranet website initiatives; conducts research into current and emerging Web technologies and issues in support of Web development efforts & performs cost-benefit analyses of proposed Web implementations. Oversee Web development projects, including intranets and extranets; defines the Web site architecture and overall site design structure; establish policies and procedures for publishing Web pages and applications in conjunction with content creators; ensures the security of all Web sites and related applications. Manage responsibility for the development of direct reports in the design; development; and maintenance of the Web structure and associated software; formulates key performance indicators and measures the success of the department based on the capitalized return; manages cost by reduction of defects, quality improvements and delivery of product to customers.We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications: Prior successful experience in leading software user interface engineers in the specification, design, and development of an organization’s applications, including intranet and E-Commerce initiatives. Senior level experience & skill balance in front-end, mid and back-end technologies, including JavaScript and DHTML, CSS, SOA, ORACLE, PHP, LAMP methodologies, AJAX, XML, AND UML. Previous experience in formulating key performance indicators to measure the success of the Web products effectiveness & end-user satisfaction. Senior level skills in technical project management to ensure the proper estimate of resource usage, timelines, technical specifications, cost delimiters, and documentation. Senior knowledge of web applications programming architectures, including the 3-tier model and inner workings of HTTP, cookies, etc. with proven experience in mentoring others in these areas. Prior successful experience working with product managers and other business stakeholders to set timeline, budget, resources, and manage expectation of the development process.Other Qualifications: Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university in computer science or Management Information Systems AND through 5 - 10 years experience in software and/or dynamic website development in a high-volume, transactional environment Required. A graduate level study in the previously stated areas is a plus.
