Homesite is a unique and innovative national property and casualty insurance company. Partnering with major insurance carriers and led by a management team with extensive experience, Homesite is carving out a position as a homeowners' solutions provider.
Due to growth at Homesite, we are currently seeking an intelligent, energetic individual to help expand our existing internet sales and service applications and enhance them through technology. Our ecommerce team is seeking a developer with an eye for website design. The ideal candidate is someone who has a passion for finding opportunities, crafting solutions and making those solutions happen.
ResponsibilitiesEnhance the usability, visual experience, layout, and functionality of Homesite’s quote and online servicing applicationsWork with team members to bring Homesite’s quote and online servicing application into Web 2.0 complianceCustomize Homesite’s quote and online servicing applications to reflect our partners’ websites look and feelDevelop appropriate code to implement projects to accomplish the above Work collaboratively with team members, business units, and IT to develop a high quality user experienceUnderstand business goals and consumer preferences

Previous Experience and Education:4+ years of relevant experience in web design and development; experience with consumer websites and/or applications a plusBA in graphic design, web design or related field a plusProficiency in and ability to hand type HTML and CSSAbility to develop code compliant in Explorer, Firefox, and SafariProficiency in XHTML, DHTML, Flash, JavaScript, AJAX, and rich media content; Silverlight experience a plusCurrent with Web 2.0 standards and ability to implement themExperience with several of the following: Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Image Ready, Dreamweaver, Visual Studio/Visual Web DeveloperExperience working in a MS windows environment, .NET/C#/OOP Skills a plus
