LUTHERVILLE, MD
POSITION SUMMARY
Based in our Lutherville, MD office, this position telephonically adjusts indemnity worker's compensation claims, including serious claims involving litigation and permanent disability. This includes investigating claims to determine compensability, determining appropriate care and making payments due to claimants on a timely basis. Handles more complex/difficult claims, involving litigation and permanent disability. Recognizes and pursues opportunities for subrogation.
ResponsibilitiesTelephonically adjusts indemnity worker's compensation claims to include investigating claims to determine compensability, determining appropriate care and making payments due to claimants on a timely basis. Handles more complex/difficult claims, involving litigation and permanent disability. Recognizes and pursues opportunities for subrogation. Complies with all state requirements and company policies. Consistently meets production goals agreed upon with supervisor/branch manager. Recognizes and meets corporate quality and customer service standards. Utilizes the automated claims information system (ACIS) to track and update claims information/status. Identifies the need for ancillary services, i.e. SIU, medical case management. May independently conduct customer claims reviews.
RequirementsCollege degree preferred. 3+ years experience equivalent experience
