Vendor Analyst, Sr.

Responsibilities:

This position serves three functions: First, provide ongoing support for selected IT contractual monitoring and reporting. Second, manage software purchases and renewals to ensure license compliance. Third, provide ongoing support for IT contingent staff monitoring and reporting. Typically, a position will focus primarily on one of these three functions and provide back-up to colleagues for the other two functions.



Contractual Steady State SupportReceive process, manage and file documents submitted by managed service vendor(s) to track changes in Resource Unit volumes, operational SOWs, Project and Contract Change Requests, Deliverable Confirmation Documents, and other documents unique to a specific vendor. Conduct weekly meetings with Infrastructure and/or Application team to review vendor submitted documentsEnter requests into central contract management system and provide signed hardcopy to Supply Management for SOX and audit requirements.



IT Contingent Staff SupportManage the delivery of the IT contingent labor program, including serving as escalation for issues around billing, procurement, contract management, negotiations, deployment and training.Create communications for the IT Vendor program.Submit requisitions for IT contingent staff to selected vendors.Manage relationships with hiring managers and Allianz vendors/suppliers for the procurement on contract labor for Allianz IT.Route responses to hiring manager.Maintain and monitor hourly rates for preferred IT contingent staffing vendors.Monitor contractually established SLAs to determine vendor performance.Negotiate contractor bill rates and conversion fees with vendors.



Reporting and AnalysisProvide analysis and summary of service level credits and penalties for Vendor Relationship Manager review and handlingManage contract summaries provided by Strategic Sourcing for use in handling IT queriesCommunicate rates and/or pricing as needed to appropriate IT audiencesCollaborate with Vendor Relationship Manager(s) to create vendor balanced scorecards and vendor portfolio reportingReview monthly vendor operational and financial reports to create input for vendor balanced scorecards. Develop partnerships with managers to reconcile and provide real time finacial reports.Stay abreast of market conditions and pricing trends.Learn vendor tactics and how to use them to company's advantage.Other duties as assigned.



Requirements: Experience providing the following knowledge and skill requirements:2+ years professional experience including working with vendors as outsourcers both on-site and off-shoreB.S or B.A. degree or equivalent experienceKnowledge of external or industry trends and practices related to IT Vendor Management.Knowledge and experience with IT contracts related to software purchases, hardware purchases, managed services, and/or professional services.Highly developed business and communications skills necessary to successfully represent AZOA, FFIC and AZ Life in dealings with outside vendors.Ability to influence IT owners to apply best practices and manage risks.Experience working in a multi-vendor environment providing IT services.Good judgment and analytical skills; strong follow-up and organizational skills.Skills to communicate effectively both verbally and in written format.Requires basic knowledge of insurance operations and IT.Ability to work on cross-functional project teams and develop solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.Ability and judgment necessary to make independent actions and decisions.Process – understanding and facilitationReporting – Access and Excel
