UNDERWRITING MANAGER

Are you looking to REALLY make a difference and move away from corporate bureaucracy?Our client, a stable managing general agency (MGA) in the insurance industry, handles Commercial E&S programs.  They are looking for rising star who is interested in taking his/her career to the next level.  The position is an Underwriting Manager to underwrite and lead a team of Commercial Underwriters in their department.  This person will oversee both brokerage and binding authority. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to work in an autonomous, family oriented environment and be able to build a department. You will be given full authority to hire, fire, train, make recommendations on programs, build and retain relationships with agents and to determine the success of the department. There will be some travel, mostly on a local level, and it is preferred that you have contacts within the Commercial Excess & Surplus Lines brokerage community within Georgia and the Southeast.
