Trainer
The Trainer will be responsible for the assessment, design, development, implementation and evaluation of training relating to new hires, continuing education, leadership development, management training and refresher training.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the instructional design, development, maintenance, communication and delivery of training necessary for all areas of the company. Identify opportunities or needs for training and development of staff. Research new training techniques and suggest enhancements to existing training programs. Manage and facilitate overall content of training programs including but not limited to: new hire training classes, leadership development, refresher training, management training, etc. Design, develop and deliver quality training programs for classroom, online product and system tutorials, user acceptance of new products and system enhancements. Develop system, technical and software training. Monitor training progress, evaluate effectiveness, and implement changes as needed. Follow up with appropriate departments staff to evaluate new and existing training programs, materials and job aids. Revise and/or modify training courses based on participants’ feedback and other measures of effectiveness. Work with department managers on training initiatives, results and recommendations.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:A minimum of seven (7)+ years experience with instructional design and hands on training experience, personal lines insurance experience a plusWorking knowledge of various insurance products and proceduresProfessional writing skills, facilitation and project management skills are requiredExcellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent customer service skillsAbility to use tact and discretion to achieve departmental goalsOnline and classroom teaching experience is requiredWork experience involving the use of specialized software required to create training material Experience with instructional design project development, implementation and evaluation
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration or related
