Endurance Services Ltd, a subsidiary of Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd., is seeking to hire an experienced generalist trader to further its effort in building an internal investment management platform.  This position will be based in White Plains, NY where the investment operations and portfolio management team is based.  The investment team is currently responsible for overseeing approximately $5.5 billion of assets, managed primarily by external managers. 

 

Our investment strategy focuses on the objectives of preserving the company’s capital and providing a ready source of liquidity. We take an opportunistic, risk-reward approach to investing, ensuring that we are always properly compensated for the risk incurred.

 

Job Title:  Trader / Analyst

Location: White Plains, NY

 

In this generalist trading role, you will research investment opportunities, provide security specific analysis on existing portfolio and execute trades under the guidance of the CIO and Portfolio Manager. You will execute fixed income and equity trades for internal accounts, as well as provide insight to members of the investment team into flows in the market, market conditions and investment ideas. 

 

In addition, you will ensure policy and guideline requirements are adhered to, including compliance with all exposure limits, and ensure all trades are recorded in the trade blotter and entered into the trading system. You will provide communication between trading and various internal and external constituencies.

 

Duties and Responsibilities include:

 

·  Perform market and security-level analysis, negotiate trades and examine risk management for assigned positions.

·  Execute trades under the guidance of CIO and portfolio manager.

·  Develop trade process and execution strategies across multiple asset classes and sectors. 

·  Uncover, develop and present investment and trade ideas.

Analyze markets for relative value opportunities.

 

Required Skills / Qualifications:

 

·  Minimum of 2-4 years trading and research experience at a buy-side firm.

·  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.

·  Good knowledge of cash and derivative markets across various assets classes.

·  Excellent communication skills.

·  Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills.

·  Strong PC skills with spreadsheet, database and other applicable software packages.
