Territory Manager - East Texas

GAINSCO Auto Insurance markets non-standard private passenger automobile products through retail agencies in Arizona, Florida, Nevada, Texas, New Mexico and South Carolina.  GAINSCO Auto Insurance has fully integrated insurance capabilities, including marketing, underwriting, customer service and claims handling. Our operations are bilingual (English/Spanish).   GAINSCO Auto Insurance has an immediate opening in our Marketing Department for a Territory Manager/Marketing Representative in East Texas (Tyler, Longview, Beaumont, Orange).    Responsibilities: Business development throughout the East Texas (and surrounding areas) Territory Acquiring sales through the Independent Agency channel Building and maintaining relationships with agents and accounts Builds market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships Appointing new agents and managing key initiatives Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential agents; discovering and exploring opportunities Job Requirements: Requirements: Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred, with emphasis in Sales and Marketing Current or previous experience (1-2 years minimum) outside sales and/or marketing experience Experience with auto or other insurance considered but not required Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred, but not required Computer proficient Ability to work independently and be a self starter in a fast paced environment Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills Travel required Reliable transportation is needed Skills and Qualifications: Closing Skills, Motivation for Sales, Prospecting Skills, Sales Planning, Selling to Customer Needs, Territory Management, Market Knowledge, Presentation Skills, High Energy Level, Meeting Sales Goals, Professionalism.   We offer competitive salary, bonus commissions, company car and excellent benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401K Retirement Savings Plan, life and accident insurance, short term and long term disability insurance.
