Supervisor I

Major Duties and Functions Include: Provides direct supervision over an organizational component performing simple to moderately complex analytical, technical, and/or procedural assignments. Supervises associates responsible for performing simple to moderately complex analytical, technical, and/or procedural functions. Supervisory activities include assigning and scheduling work, coordinating and training new associates, checking and correcting completed work, conducting unit meetings, issuing instructions, completing and analyzing production records and assisting members of the unit in the performance of their duties. Assists manager by performing certain staff functions such as reviewing or modifying work procedures, developing recommendations to improve work flows. Previous life insurance background and college degree preferred, but not required. What You Need to Succeed: High degree of flexibility, ability to maintain a positive attitude and capable of motivating the team in driving excellent results. Proven ability analyze and process data. Must have strong written and oral communication skills for purposes of presenting recommendations to management, training team members and procedure documentation. Proven ability to prioritize numerous tasks and meet deadlines. Experience in performing technical tasks or coordinating activities necessary to complete projects. Must be self-disciplined, enthusiastic about change and the team concept, wiling to learn and share information and serve as a “go-to person”.
