Statutory Accounting Manager

Internationally based Specialty Insurance Corporate with an office in Atlanta, seeks a talented Statutory Accounting Manager to join their team.

 

Responsibilities: Preparation and Management responsibility for all of the aspects surrounding the statutory accounting and reporting for various internal companies.Maintain and control the STAT general ledger including, posting of statutory adjusting entries, balancing of accounts and accuracy of financial results in accordance with established policies and procedures.Prepare and analyze quarterly and annual STAT statementsPerform complex reconciliationsReview account reconciliationsAssist in the preparations of the statutory filings for insurance companies including quarterly statements, annual statements, combined annual statements, insurance expense exhibits, management discussion and analysis, stat audit report and risk based capitalResearch statutory accounting issues to ensure compliance with the NAIC accounting practices and Procedures Manual



Requirements: 5+ years accounting and reporting experience in the insurance industryAccounting degree with CPA or CPA trackAbility to understand complex statutory accounting and reporting issuesExcellent advanced Excel and Access skills (macros and pivots tables)

Salary: $70,000 - $95,000 +bonus
