Major Duties and Functions Include: The Sr. Program/Project Lead will be assigned to all Enterprise Strategic Programs. The role of the Program/Project Lead is to provide tactical program and project management coaching and support to the strategic Program Managers and the business work-streams they support. Depending on the size of the program, a liaison may support multiple programs or support a LOB/Functional Group across multiple programs. E.g. support HR for both the BPO Program and Globalization. The Liaison is an advocate and champion of the MetLife Program and Project Management Frameworks. They will facilitate or deliver the basic process and tool training as well as provide on-going support. Their role is to ensure that the business users understand and can apply the MetLife Program and Project Management processes, tools and training materials. Functional Responsibilities: Supports senior project managers and assigned projects. Oversees high priority projects which require considerable resources and high levels of functional integration. Independently handles assigned components of the project such as scheduling, cost management, risk management, etc. Assigns individual responsibilities, identifies appropriate resources. What You Need to Succeed: The Program/Project Lead ensures operational excellence through the identification, prioritization, and implementation of projects that meet strategic, tactical, market, and customer demands. Identifies and resolves project interdependencies, overlaps and integration concerns across the enterprise. The Program/Project Lead will develop and implement a consistently deployed approach to multi-disciplinary project management. Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Required: 3+ years of senior level project/program leadership experience. Must be thoroughly familiar with program and project management concepts, continue to learn new and updated concepts, and able to apply concepts in various situations. Good relationship building skills. Strong facilitation and presentation skills. Self-directed and highly motivated. Strong project management and coordination skills. Strong information technology skills and a high level of proficiency with common business software. Consulting experience project management. Ability to manage multiple priorities. Desired Competencies: PMP certification. Experience in change management, risk management, quality management, and financial management of business programs. Ability to practically apply and translate principles of MetLife program and project management frameworks.
