Sr. Informatics Scientist

The incumbent will be responsible for creating a unit that provides advanced reporting and analysis services and provides internal advanced analytic support to other areas within Consultative Business Services (e.g., predictive modeling). Responsible for ensuring the business requirements necessary to fulfill data acquisition and reporting requests are identified, documented, and communicated to appropriate Informatics' departmental units (e.g., Standard Reporting, Data Acquisition, etc.). Coaching and mentoring employees while ensuring current and future Advanced Analytic capabilities necessary for the continued operational success of the unit are presented and incorporated into the Informatics capability development roadmap. The incumbent must also establish and maintain unit-specific budgets and/or provide input into annual departmental budget preparation process.   In addition to exceptional leadership, and analytical skills, our qualifications include:  PhD in Psychology, Epidemiology, Clinical-Research field or related field, MD-PhD or MD-MPH. Minimum of six years progressive experience in advanced analysis or research, with three years leadership or supervisory experience. Significant experience in developing and delivering information from claims-based analysis to various clients (e.g., medical management, quality management, etc.). Leadership or supervisory experience in advanced analysis and support for customer decision-making. Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization. Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining budgets, policies, procedures, and standards. Experience supporting Managed Care, Finance, Account Reporting, or Provider preferred.
