POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Corporate Development Analyst will work within Chubb's Corporate Development group. Corporate Development is an internal consulting group that works with senior business unit and corporate management to develop and execute strategic initiatives for existing and new businesses. Scope of projects to include:

1) Analysis of existing businesses/products/operations: Strategy formulation and implementation including: analysis of addressable market, scenario planning, operational assessment, workflow and span of control analysis, etc.

2) New market/business entry: Business case development including: analysis of market dynamics, service and product offerings, financial projections, organizational design, legal and regulatory review, funding requirements.

3) Strategic Investments/Alliances: Identification of candidates, development of business case for investment, acquisition integration, or partnership.

The Corporate Development Analyst will be expected to: Collect and synthesize data to develop hypotheses on various components of strategy projects, create financial models and spreadsheets, prepare written materials for use in reports and presentations, formulate and present strategic recommendations to the project team.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess competencies in business process design/engineering, including continuous process improvement and the identification of key performance gaps and metrics. Requires the ability to link business objectives to operating models.

Must possess strong quantitative/analytical and problem solving skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and integrate multiple sources of data and information. Demonstrated advanced competency with necessary software tools, particularly Excel and Powerpoint.

Must possess strong project management, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, and demonstrated ability to work with and present to senior level management. Must be capable of working within multi-disciplinary teams.

Experience must include at least 1-2 years on projects throughout the life cycle of a reengineering or process improvement effort, from scoping and business case design through successful execution of project objectives. Management consulting experience a plus.

EDUCATION:
MBA or CFA required. Training in Lean Thinking and Six Sigma a plus.
