Specialist, Systems Engineering (WHIC)

As part of Scottsdale's Engineering Team, you will help shape the technical implementation of a wide variety of projects. Working with current Enterprise tools and resources, you will be responsible for developing and implementing detailed technical designs to answer business needs. This role will focus on Western Heritage Insurance Company's technology needs including WAS, Red Hat, and Windows solutions, but will not be limited to that discipline. As the WHIC Engineer you will be asked to research new technologies and to cover multiple technical disciplines, focused on strategies to assist WHIC in achieving their technical needs. You should be confident in your ability to assume a lead technical role within a project, coordinating the work of technicians supporting your efforts and providing accurate professional communication to management. You will demonstrate your knowledge and design quality through the execution of accurate and complete technical documentation including runbooks, technical diagrams, configuration management documentation, change control requests etc. The ability to coordinate work between other Engineers or peers at SIC and the WHIC project teams will be essential. Other deliverables will include vendor management, problem mitigation, estimation, and change management.

Qualifications:Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems or related field is preferred Certification designation in Project Management, Database and/or Microsoft is preferred 6 years of technical software and hardware analysis, programming and installation Proven knowledge in advanced operating and personal computer systems Thorough understanding in multiple hardware and software platforms and applications
