Senior QA Analyst

Description:

As a senior member of the Esurance QA team you will take a leadership role in project documentation review, analysis, and back-end verification process that facilitates the regular and frequent updating of Esurance's mission-critical internet applications.

You will take a leadership role in requirements analysis, technical evaluation, test design, execution and the reporting of status and results while working with and providing support to other QA team members.

Analyze business requirements and design/document detailed, aggressive testing strategies that are in accordance with the Quality Assurance department's commitment to industry leading software quality
Work with the business stakeholders, developers and your QA teammates to identify and clearly document all appropriate test cases, dependant test data structures and test environment requirements
Record detailed and highly organized test results
Log detailed and accurate defect reports and aggressively follow the defects through resolution and closure
Become nothing less than an expert with respect to Esuraces's applications - prepared to help anyone when needed
Provide mentoring to other QA Analysts through project lifecycles
Assist in the identification and design of automated processes aimed at increased efficiency and reliability

Qualifications:

7+ years of QA Analysis Experience with heavy QA Metrics development background
3+ years in a leadership role managing project QA milestones
Excellent Project Management skills
Strong SQL with ability to create and run Input Data files
Solid experience in all phases of the QA cycle (e.g. requirements analysis, test case identification, test plan authoring, execution, defect tracking, status, reporting of results)
Automated scripts execution experience using Segue Silk, or other software automation tools
Must demonstrate excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal
MS Office Proficiency

Very Nice to Have:

AS400 experience
Previous DB experience in a professional capacity (SQL, ORACLE )

Education:

This position requires an undergraduate degree, preferably in related field (e.g. CS, EE, Physics, and Mathematics). However, in exceptional cases, equivalent work experience can be substituted for the degree requirement.
