Senior Projectr Manager with IBM z10 Mainframe experience
N-Tier Solutions is presently recruiting for a Senior PM for a 5 month + Contract position with our direct client, a Fortune 10 Insurance Company in Livingston, NJ.
Our client is implementing SAP Financials on an IBM z10 Mainframe. The person selected for this position will be the Project Manager for implementing the Infrastructure that will host SAP. The candidate will be responsible for managing the implementation of the infrastructure to host the DEV, TEST and PROD Environments. These environments will be hosted on an IBM z10 Mainframe and potentially Open Systems Platforms as well.
Specific Responsibilities:
· Assist in the project estimation by preparing preliminary project plan schedules and budgets
· Prepare the detailed project plan -- tasks, schedules, and dependencies and the project budget. Includes task prioritization, anticipation of problems, scheduling shifts and conflict resolution as needed
· Manage technicians, administrators, engineers, other vendors, quality teams, and support teams in accomplishing project objectives within budget and scope of the project using proven project management methodologies
· Coordinate all project activities in accordance with established project scope, schedules and budgets
· Arranging and conducting regular project meetings, preparing and distributing meeting minutes, and following up on meeting action lists and assignments
· Working with Relationship Manager 'Manage business sponsors expectations to ensure delivery of solutions
· Prepare and distribute regularly scheduled project updates to required personnel, business sponsors, project team and management to ensure project is set to be delivered on time and in budget.'
· Responsible for providing priorities and direction to project team members, and keeping team members informed and motivated throughout the course of the project
