Responsible for the planning and overseeing execution of strategic and
operational initiatives related to Shield Advance Letters, Reports &
Interfaces.

This position acts as the primary point of contact to direct and coordinate
project and program execution to ensure successful delivery of critical
components of the Shield Advance Program, within established time frames and
budget. These initiatives will be closely tied with BSC functional areas and
business units, preparing and guiding them for the letters, reports and
interface requirement and development activities for the multiple releases.

Supports business strategies by directing the execution of program plans.

Works with other Shield Advance project teams, BSC functional area and business
unit leads and project managers to ensure strategic and operational initiatives
are appropriately prioritized and resourced related to letters, reports and
interfaces.
Manage the on-going relationship with BSC functional areas and business units
throughout the implementation.

Assists in detailed planning across Shield Advance as needed.

Manages and provides input to ad-hoc improvement and planning cycles.

Assembles the project team, assigns and monitors work of team members and
provides guidance and leadership.
Bachelor's degree and eight to ten years of consulting, business analysis,
program/project management experience or equivalent combination of education and
experience.

Demonstrated leadership and ability to interact with all levels including senior
management and influence decision-making.

Must work independently and have strong communication writing and presentation
skills.

Must possess excellent time management and organizational skills and be able to
handle multiple high profile projects.

Be able to create and review project proposals or plans and set project
objectives.

Manage scope and scope change requests.

Complete cost/benefit analysis and/or Business Cases.

Develop budgets and timelines to support quality initiatives and programs.



Monitor projects from initiation through delivery and monitor for continuous
improvement.

Identify and develop contingency plans to mitigate and address risks.

Takes responsibility for benefits realization and meeting milestone and budget
targets.

Be able to communicate with and influence internal and external stakeholders on
project steps and objectives.
Identifies and develops contingency plans to mitigate and address risks.
Experience with package application projects
Insurance industry or health care experience a must
Facets experience a plus
