Job ID: 18278 Posting Title: Senior Package Underwriter Working Location: New York, NY Employment Status: Full-Time Job Summary: Zurich North America is excited about the creation of its new division, ZURICH INTEGRATED PRODUCTS, dedicated to customers across the United States whose annual receipts fall between $5,000,000 and $25,000,000. Zurich Integrated Products, based in New York City, is comprised of our domestic suite of products including both Specialty and Casualty lines. We are seeking people who enjoy a collaborative work environment and have a passion for participating in start up ventures. ResponsibilitiesUnder technical direction, the ideal candidate underwrites and analyzes new and renewal package business. He/she administers and monitors underwriting rules and guidelines, insurance laws and regulations, and rating manual rules. He/she will work writing significant limits and authority on assignments of higher technical complexity and coordination. He/she will also be responsible for marketing Zurich's products and services through an agency or through the brokerage community and developing/maintaining these relationships. Job Qualifications: 2-5 years of experience underwriting commercial, multi-line property/casualty business required. We will also consider brokers with this experience looking to make the transition to the carrier side. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Bachelors degree required. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to effectively assess risk required. Ability to multi-task and function effectively in team environment required. Strong computer skills required.
